Future Antiquities

Whitney Museum, New York

The Future Antiquities concept and environmental installation (funded with a Visual Arts Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts) is a vision of multiple structural planes reflective of our urban rectilinear environments. As the vertical forms meet β€œthe sky,” select edges are eroded to suggest mountainous tops, thus, the city returns to nature. The Mel Wong Dance Company choreographed a dance composition in tandem with the sculpture project and performed the work for the public over a weekend of events.
