Perennial Light

Arsenal Gallery of Central Park, New York City

A series of photographic constructions taken in forests along the Eastern Seaboard; featuring mountain laural, balsam firs from Acadia, & sycamores from NYC. Works are not just a catalog of species; her compilations capture the feeling of walking among these silent giants.
These photo-based images on aluminum and rag papers provide an intimate view of trees as percussive, explosive, or sometimes meditative canopies, calling attention to our perception of trees and their mysterious ability to reveal and conceal a grace and form that is unique to each season and species.
